The "sterilization" slander
Israel did not and has never sterilized Ethiopian women. This accusation is meant to dehumanize Israelis, not to help Ethiopian Jews overcome the challenges they face in Israel.

While discrimination and other challenges remain, the Ethiopian Israeli community has made very impressive progress in recent years. For instance, Ethiopian Israeli women doubled their employment rate, increasing it to nearly 70% from 2000 to 2013.

Though Ethiopian Israelis face many challenges, their community has also achieved remarkable things. For example, while the high school graduation rate among those who moved to Israel at an older age is only 36%, Ethiopian Israelis who grew up in Israel now graduate at a rate of 90%.
